Thomas Green Playground

Originally installed at the Old Stone House, this mural has found its new home on the west wall of the handball court at Thomas Greene Playground. It features neighbors Jesse Novik, Rekae Mina, and Kelly Hayes, whose stories reflect the emotional and physical toll of repeated flooding in Gowanus, from bleach-scrubbed studios to waterlogged routines disrupted again and again.

On view through September 2025.
Presented in partnership with NYC Parks, who collaborated with The Dear Neighbor Project to make this site possible.
